It’s been quite a while since I did a plain old style post! Over a month in fact…
Last weekend, Danny and I went out to Dinner at Lantern in Chapel Hill, since his brother and his wife had given us a generous gift certificate there for graduation (thanks guys!!). I loved the chance to dress up for just about anything, but when putting together this outfit, I “rediscovered” these shoes. I had totally forgotten about them, which is awesome since its like getting something new without having to spend a penny! They are one of my nicer pairs of heels (although I snagged them for an unbelievable 20 bucks!) so I keep them safely tucked away in their dust bag and hanging up….which results in me never thinking about them when I go to pick out shoes. Maybe this is an indication I have to many shoes, but I’m not going to entertain that idea!
Anyways, I love the darker brown on these and the ankle strap, and I thought they would go great with these ankle length teal pants and a white flowy top. It is also worth mentioning how AMAZINGLY comfortable they are for high heels. It’s insane. My feet never hurt in them! I topped the whole look off with this gorgeous statement necklace from my latest Rocksbox and some family jewelry!
I mentioned yesterday on Instagram how much I love wearing jewelry that “means something,” which I am lucky enough to own a good bit of! I inherited both the gold chain and the peacock ring from my grandmother, and whenever I wear them I think of her! Danny thinks that it is crazy to have things that you would be so devastated to lose, but I think that’s exactly how you know they’re special!
On a side note, going through these pictures made me realize I am in desperate need of a hair cut. Off to schedule one immediately!
